Project and Organisational Evaluations
Many organisations have realised the benefits of engaging TGA to
conduct and produce professional, independent, external evaluations
as an aid to demonstrating their achievements and improving and developing
their services. In many cases these evaluations have assisted organisations
in successfully negotiating for further funding and helped to ensure
the longer term sustainability of projects and programmes. In many
cases an external evaluation has been requested and funded by a grant
maker such as a government body, lottery funder or grant making foundation.
An evaluation may focus on one or more (or all) of the following
aspects: your organisation’s structure, how you deliver your
services, what your users think about your service, what benefits
(or outcomes) your service is bringing about and the longer term
change your project or service is making in the lives of your clients
or within your sphere of interest.
Many organisations find that most benefit can be derived by working
with TGA from the beginning of a project rather than simply asking
for an external evaluation to be conducted towards the end of a project
time period. By employing the TGA evaluation team at the outset we
can help with the setting of aims, objectives and targets and assist
you in establishing ways whereby progress and achievement on inputs
(e.g. staff and volunteer time and funds), outputs (e.g. project
activities such as resources produced, training courses delivered,
people assisted, etc), outcomes (real and positive differences in
the lives of your service users or community) can be measured.
In some cases, organisations employ TGA to produce an external
evaluation towards the end of a given project time period. This will
often involve us in an element of research such as meetings with
project staff, key stakeholders (e.g. statutory referral agencies,
committee members, etc) and service users.
In most cases the evaluation process results in a written report
detailing background, findings, conclusions and recommendations.
In many cases TGA can make audio visual presentations of findings
to key stakeholder meetings such as management committee members,
referral agents and funders.
Whatever your evaluation requirements you will find that TGA can deliver
a service which is professional, comprehensive, detailed and sensitive
to your organisational needs. Contact
